Gurupoornima was celebrated in the school on July 10th. Smt Indira Menon and Smt Sreedevi  N, former teachers of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir , Elamakkara were the guests of the day.  The school  head boy and head girl performed ‘Paadapooja’.

Ramayana week celebrations commenced on 17 th July 2017 at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor. Sri Sathyan Anthikkad, renowned director and scriptwriter  was the chief guest of the day. There was a ‘Ramayana Parayanam’ , bhajan, tableau and dance by the students.

Independence Day was celebrated at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor. Madam Principal hoisted the flag. House-wise patriotic song competition was conducted. The school choir rendered a medley of patriotic songs. Students of Std X presented a dance. There was a parade by NCC Cadets. Smt Lathika K and Smt Jalaja  from the Department of Commerce delivered the Independence Day message, Vikrant K Menon of Std IX, as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, presented the Tryst with Destiny. Madam Principal explained the English translation of our National Anthem in her Independence Day addressaddress.Sweets were distributed to students.

BVM Eroor emerged as the winners in the 16th CBSE Kho-Kho Championship held at St.Ephrem Ceminary Public School, Vettickal, Mulanthuruthy on 22nd and 23rd September 2017.Our school defeated the last year’s winners Sree Narayana Public School , Poothotta and is qualified for the finals to be held at New Delhi.

BVM Eroor presented Sangeetharchana and Sivasaptam on the 5th day of Navarathri celebrations at Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan Auditorium, T D Road, Kochi on 25 th September 2017. The programme began with “ Sangeetharchana” , a sublime rendititon of the keerthanas by 50 students.,This was followed by a sterling performance by 115 dancers on the theme  “Sivasaptha” , the various ‘bhavas ‘of Lord Shiva as Nataraj, Somaskantha, Dakshinamurthy, Kiratha and Ardhanareeshwara.

‘Sreekrishna Jayanthi’ was celebrated with gaiety and colour at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor. Students of standard 1& 2 dressed as little Krishnas and Radhas participated in ‘Shobhayatra’. ‘Dandiya Raas’ was performed by students of standard 5. A house-wise ‘Uriyadi’ competition was also held.

Teacher’s day was celebrated at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor on September 11, 2017. Assembly was conducted by the teachers.  Students from Std XII offered ‘Gurudakshina’ to teachers.

 The Reading Day celebration in the school was inaugurated by Smt. Chandrika Devi, Chairperson, Tripunithura Municipality. Smt. Sunatha T B, Malayalam Dept spoke on the importance of Reading. Ramanujan of Class IX recited a poem on this occassion.
