Children's Day Celebrations
The school celebrated Children's Day with great enthusiasm and joy. It was a day filled with fun, learning, and recognition of children’s talents.
Primary Section:
The celebration in the Primary Section began with an inspiring Children’s Day message delivered by Smt. Sheba K. George, Assistant Vice Principal. Her words reminded everyone of the importance of childhood and the need to nurture and protect the dreams of young minds. The highlight of the occasion was the Chachaji's message, presented by Parthiv B. Menon of Class V, who charmed everyone by dressing as Chachaji, the beloved figure of our nation. His message echoed the values and ideals that Chachaji (Jawaharlal Nehru) stood for—love for children and a commitment to their well-being. As part of the celebrations, the winners of the Vykhari Fest were awarded their prizes, recognizing the students' achievements in various competitions. The day also featured a Fancy Dress Competition for students of Classes I and II, where the children showcased their creativity and enthusiasm by dressing up as different characters. The laughter and joy filled the air as students proudly displayed their outfits. The Fun Games and Talent Show for Classes III to V brought out the best in the students, with exciting activities that allowed everyone to showcase their talents. It was a delightful mix of fun and competition, making the day even more memorable.
Secondary Section:
The celebrations continued in the Secondary Section, where Smt. Jijitha V.G., Vice Principal, delivered a thoughtful Children’s Day message. Her address emphasized the value of childhood and the importance of fostering creativity, kindness, and learning in young hearts and minds. Dhruv Sachin, a student of Std VII, donned the role of Chachaji, delivering a heartfelt message that resonated with everyone. His portrayal of Chachaji was both captivating and educational, reminding students of the enduring legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru. The Vykhari Fest prizes were also distributed, honoring the remarkable achievements of students across various events. A Talent Show featuring students from Classes VI and VII followed, where the students exhibited their diverse talents. The performance was a celebration of the incredible skills and creativity of our young minds.
Senior Secondary Section:
The Senior Secondary Section celebration was graced by the esteemed Sri Aravind Dileep Nair, a talented musician and the winner of Asianet Star Singer, who served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. His inspiring words encouraged students to pursue their dreams with passion and dedication, just as he had done in his own journey. The Chachaji’s message was delivered by Adwaith V. Kammath of Class XI, who, dressed as Chachaji, reminded everyone of the timeless values of love, peace, and unity, which Chachaji embodied. As in the other sections, the Vykhari Fest prizes were distributed, recognizing the outstanding achievements of students in a variety of fields.
The entertainment segment of the day was truly spectacular, featuring a variety of performances by the students:
- A beautiful song performance by Std X
- A thought-provoking skit by Std VIII, A creative mime performance by Std IX and
- An energetic dance performance by Std XI.
As a gesture of sweetness and goodwill, payasam was distributed to all the students, generously sponsored by the PTA. This added a special touch to the day, allowing everyone to indulge in a traditional treat while strengthening the bond within the school community.
The day concluded with a feeling of joy and fulfillment, as students from all sections were celebrated for their talents, achievements, and enthusiasm. Children's Day was a reminder of the importance of nurturing every child’s potential, creating an environment of care and encouragement that allows them to flourish. Overall, the celebrations were a resounding success, bringing the entire school community together to honor the spirit of childhood and the legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru, whose love for children continues to inspire generations.
