World Environment Day Celebrations
Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Eroor, marked World Environment Day with a vibrant and engaging celebration themed "Fruit for the Future" on Wednesday, 5 June, 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and to encourage sustainable practices among students and the community. The key highlight of the day was the noble initiative by YI Thalir, a group dedicated to fostering a greener future. They generously donated fruit saplings to the school, symbolizing a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. These saplings are intended to grow and flourish, ultimately sweetening the corridors of Bhavan's Vidya Mandir with their fruits. Ms Ashika Jayan, Co-Chair, YI Thalir, addressed the student community. Her speech provided insights into the importance of planting trees and nurturing nature for future generations and how each child can contribute to a greener future by taking care of atleast one tree. A poem on Environment was recited by Master Abhinav and a speech on environmental sustainability was delivered by Kumari. Theertha Manoj Menon of Std V during the celebration. A poster making competition on the theme "Nurture Nature Save Your Future" was conducted for the students of classes IV and V.
